Device Clinic Days available to help you when you need it most

You know what life feels like when you are living it at your fullest potential. Things feel easy, your walking is like being lifted on a cloud. There is a surge of energy whenever you need it, and you are focused at work — you don’t even feel like you need a cup of coffee for energy, because it is pumping through your veins.

It’s those moments that you are at your most productive, because when everything in your body is working in harmony, there’s nothing you cannot do in this world. There are tasks that get checked off the to-do list quickly, the work you do is stimulating and challenging in a positive way, and life at home is terrific. You have enough energy to play with your children in the afternoon, and relax after a nice dinner with your significant other as the kids go to sleep, content in every possible way: Work, life, family, love.

We also know that life is not always like that, and sometimes there are valleys that people get sunk into. There could be a to-do list that doesn’t get shorter, but longer. There are arguments at home, and relationships that start to get frayed. Stress becomes more prevalent in your life, and it gets to you easier than it ever has before. It’s in those moments that a reset button would be amazing for your life, because you have enough self-realization that you want to live life to the fullest and not feel like you are at best muddling through, and at worst going backwards.

Living Well Dallas has many devices that are effective for helping you resolve the physical, emotional and mental challenges that keep you from living life to the fullest. That’s why we created Device Clinic Days, when you can sample one device or a modality of your choice for free. The days and hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Any of these services, excluding NeurOptimal neurofeedback, can also later be an add-on to your regularly schedule appointments for $20.

Bowen Therapy: Bowen Therapy consists of slow, rolling skin movements which help bring the mind and body into deep rest and relaxation. As the practitioner plucks tendons and rolls over muscles, nerve signals are delivered to the brain and nervous system, asking the body to respond differently. Bowen work tells the brain it no longer needs to continue emitting pain messages but can relax and let the healing commence.

BrainTap: Brain Tap uses unique frequencies of light and sound for brain wave entrainment. In just 22 minutes, your brain will be guided to relax, allowing it the rest and recovery it needs; reboot, cleaning your head of non-essential worries and reinforcing the valuable information you need to take on each day; and strengthen your brain by giving it the endurance needed to handle any kind of stress, even the most extreme kinds.

LED light therapy for body, head and brain: LED phototherapy provides powerful red and infrared light to create an environment in which change may occur more rapidly, which helps increase blood and lymphatic circulation, as well as decreasing pain, swelling, and inflammation.

NeurOptimal neurofeedback: This non-invasive exercise involves having sensors attached to your head that will feed brain wave patterns into the program’s software. Through the session, you usually hear music playing through earbuds, and sometimes will hear the music skip or reset, a signal that prompts your brain to do the same. At the end of a session, you will likely feel less stressed and more mentally clear, and many experience better sleep and much better dreams after just one session.

Questions about specific devices? You can call our expert, Brenda Briscoe, at 214-679-4618. Brenda is a licensed massage therapist with nearly two decades of experience, and she is certified in Clinical Massage Therapy, as well as Bowen technique and Neuro-Structural Integration Technique, which are both versions of Bowen therapy and work toward permanent resolution of pain syndromes. She also specializes in migraine recovery and has had much success with this condition over her career.

With any of these treatments, we hope that you will walk out with that reset button hit, and things are back to your optimal focus. Life can be extraordinarily tough sometimes, and looking at yourself in the mirror and saying you cannot do it all is tough. But once you do, and you get the help that makes everything go easier, then you know you’re not alone.
